Оби-Ван «Бен» Кеноби (57-0 до я. б.) — персонаж вымышленной вселенной Звездных войн. Кеноби — один из наиболее заметных персонажей саги, вместе с Энакином Скайуокером, R2-D2 и C-3PO является одним из немногих главных персонажей, появлявшихся (в той или иной форме) во всех шести фильмах Звездных войн. Он был сыгран в Эпизодах I—III Эваном МакГрегором, а в Эпизодах IV—VI сэром Алеком Гиннессом.
Впервые Кеноби появляется в оригинальной трилогии и, по-видимому, ведет отшельнический образ жизни. Выясняется, что он — рыцарь-джедай, и затем обучает Люка Скайуокера джедайскому искусству. Появления
Эпизод I. Скрытая угроза
В начале Скрытой угрозы Кеноби — 25-летний падаван, то есть ученик, Квай-Гон Джинна (Лайам Нисон). Он составляет компанию Квай-Гону в путешествии на Набу, планету, которой управляет юная королева Падме Амидала (Натали Портман). После внеплановой посадки из-за повреждений звездолета на Татуине, его учитель натыкается на Энакина Скайуокера, юного раба, демонстрирующего колоссальный потенциал в Силе. Веря, что это мальчик из пророчества об «Избранном», который восстановит равновесие Силы, уничтожив использующих темную сторону Силы ситхов, магистр Джинн желает, чтобы мальчик прошел обучение и стал джедаем. Эпизод III. Месть ситхов
В этом фильме Оби-Ван Кеноби предстает 3 года спустя, в возрасте 38 лет. Теперь он генерал, герой Республики, который выиграл много боев с секретным оружием республики — клонами. В эпизоде третьем «Месть Ситхов», Кеноби заслуживает звания магистра и входит в состав Совета джедаев.
В начале фильма Кеноби и Энакин прибыли на Корускант, чтобы спасти похищенного канцлера Палпатина с корабля сепаратистов «Незримая длань». Канцлер впоследствии возьмет под свой контроль армию клонов, присоединив ее к Империи.
Кеноби и Энакин проникают на космический корабль генерала Гривуса, и прорываются с боем в помещение, где держат Палпатина. Тот приказал своему ученику, графу Дуку, убить Кеноби и победить Энакина, но в конце концов Энакин побеждает в схватке с графом Дуку, отрубая ему обе руки, а в последствии и голову по приказу канцлера Палпатина.
Когда Палпатин утвердил Энакина на должность магистра джедаев, Кеноби сказал, что Энакин слишком молодой чтобы быть полноправным членом Совета джедаев, и ему дали только частичные привелегии магистров. Энакин протестовал так как его не назначили магистром джедаев и приказали следить за Палпатином. Разгневанный Энакин перестал доверять Совету.
Кеноби приказали убрать Генерала Гривуса, таким образом предоставив полную свободу действий Палпатину, который продолжал призывать Анакина на Темную сторону Силы. Ему это удалось. Анакин принял решения стать ситхом и принял от Дарта Сидиуса ситхское имя Дарт Вейдер.
Тем временем Кеноби сражался с генералом Гривусом, во время битвы отсек ему руки за секунды, и убил генерала Гривуса. Моментом позже, когда Кеноби прибыл к армии клонов, они попытались его уничтожить (это был легендарный приказ Палпатина номер 66).
С Йодой и Бейлом Органой, Кеноби отправился на Корускант, где он и Йода увидели, что каждый джедай в храме убит, каждый юнлинг (будущий джедай) тоже убит, причем юных учеников убил лично Дарт Вейдер.
Кеноби нашел Вейдера на вулканической планете Мустафар, и попытался вернуть его к свету. Дарт Вейдер и Оби-Ван вступили в схватку посреди рек лавы. Он все пытается вернуть Анакина с Темной стороны, но Дарт Вейдер не слушает его и, в конце концов, Кеноби отрубает Анакину ноги и руку и тот остается догорать среди лавы.
